A traveling preacher finds himself in a tremendous rainstorm.
Within a few hours the hotel he is staying in becomes flooded. As the water rises, the preacher climbs to the roof and starts praying.
"Lord, save me so I can continue on my mission of preaching your gospel."
Just then, a coast guard rescue party floats by in a rowboat. "Let's go mister. Into the boat."
" I'll stay here ," says the preacher, "The Lord will save me ."
An hour later a second boat reaches the scene and the water is close to the roof of the hotel. "Sir, you better get in. The water is still rising."
" No thanks. The Lord will be my salvation."
Toward evening, the hotel is almost completely under water and the preacher is clinging to the satellite dish on the roof. A helicopter is spotted and on a loudspeaker is heard "HSir, grab on to the line and we will pull y ou up. This is your last chance.
"I'm all right," says the preacher, as he looks heavenward. "I know the Lord will provide sanctuary."
As the boat departs, the satellite dish is hit by lightning and the preacher is killed. When he arrived at the Pearly Gates he was furious.
"What happened, " he shouts. "I thought the Lord would provide!"
Moments later a thunderous voice is heard. "Gimmie a break pal. I sent you 2 boats and a chopper "

there is always:
congruity in incongruity
sense in nonsense
nonsense in sense
truth in false
falsity seeming to be true
wrong would seem right
right would seem wrong
possible impossibility

crackers burst for quite some time, then laddooos for all the passers by....it s been a busy, vociferous night...not coz of the ganapathi pooja, but india defeated pak in the final.....no flurry of sixes, no hatric wickets...but a perfect team effort....and the men in blue stood the pressure n challenge...finished off in style…
it would be sth beyond the ordinary and perhaps bit eccentric for any indain newspaper to have given less prominence and pushed the colorful event of SA to the last page…. As ur eyes may have already had a feast of snaps,, the battle truly was a nail biting match that xited even a non regular cricket fan who would say, ohh that was chak de India!...ni one would have had some moments of xitment watching those women and men shaking watever is shakable entertaining the crowd....
was it coz of the wind of good fortune blowing india's way, or the adrenaline rush in young, vibrant indian men, or sth else?? Or chak de effect? watever you have now popping up in the side of ur mind, wat matters now is that the first ever twenty20 World cup has found its resting place in this cricket loving country...
obviously, the real test of fire balls and canon bats will take centre stage when the mighty kangaroos begin the hopping in indian soil....is it far off? no just a couple of days away...so get ready for another battle...and keep ur throat in good shape....and perhaps that quintessential killing, critical out look of india so that just in case the kangaroos begin the run riot and maul up and leave the men in blue in blues, you can go haywire.....
you do well and you have applauds and appreciation galore, you falter a bit, fail here or there, and be ready to pay the price, that usually is heavy!!

Mercurial lines have gone dim
The crescendo of glitz shines no more
An unknown air of desolation hanging about
Over shadows the rainbow of jubilation.
Drooping…drooping…drooping
He is sulking and groping in the dark.
Staring down, he sees nothing but void
It is nibbling on the shreds of joy
Wake up…wake up…wake up
Paralyses he feels to ram the alarm going off
Nerves of excitement are clotted and cogged
With loneliness and indifference
That stares back poignantly
A venomous sting of dullness thrust against him
Is squeezing him like a python shedding
Every bit of zest out of life.
Life’s eccentrics have come down crashing
Out arises from the debris smoke of despair.
Time ticking away makes sense no more,
Hanging down the cliff poised between
Meaning and meaninglessness he has gone –
He has gone on hibernation…
For how long?
No one knows!!
Will he hit the panic button?
No one knows!!
What is life that you and I spend? Is it just a form of energy produced by slow oxidation and respiration of the nutrient substance?
Or is it a “walking shadow that struts and frets”?
Or is it a perfection of “I think therefore I am”?
Or is it mere embodiment of a spirit that will eventually reunite with its Creator?

Having been ‘thrown to live’ life, it s not the question of “to be or not to be”, but why to be!
Like a splinter in his mind, the arrows of frustration and meaninglessness are slicing in. will he hit the panic button or come out to be “top of the world”?
Until that happens byeeeeee all..
Hugs and kisses to all who stop by….

Radio mirchi is piping hot always. The Rjs there guessed it right and were quick to let their wit go on air…..'aaj barish ke saath traffic jam free!' the song that followed was perfect…simply magical...
A feeble tremor echoed in the far east…that was the prelude...the calm before the storm…the spotless sky shed her bluish attire and draped herself in a dark and gloomy one…did she look like a mourning widow???!!
The long hair let loose, he colors splashed across all over, full of giggles and laughter indicated otherwise..…she was at the verge of plunging in to celebration…the celebration of life... in an ecstatic fashion she danced away even as the entire nature joined her in raptures….the birds chirping and dancing, the reeds waving and the trees swaying…the frogs leaping in the pearly drops lashing down..it was heavenly….his rabbits gazing out....

His initially impulse was to join the dance of celebration...but he decided against it and stood still by the window sill gazing down at the splendid happenings..…the blades of plants laughing and the trees murmuring…the birds singing and the little squirrel emerged from nowhere amusing himself in the a pool water….
His impulse was frozen by that magical song from Jism…
Jaadu Hai Nasha Hai Madhoshiyan Hai
Tujhko Bhulake Aab Jaao Kahan
Jaadu Hai Nasha Hai Madhoshiyan Hai
Tujhko Bhulake Aab Jaao Kahan
Dekhti Hai Jis Tarah Se Teri Nazrein Mujhe…..

Most of us hold a pre-planned ‘problem’ in our mind before going for a movie or any other entertainment. That is precisely why some of us don’t like some movies and other such programme. In themselves, most of the movies and other shows are neither good nor bad. It is the viewer who decides in which category a programme has to be shelved. Most of the time we enjoy watching such programme not because of their intrinsic goodness or because these are worth watching, but they successfully tickles our entertainment muscles. At the end of a movie we realize, we were like Alice in Wonderland, dreamy eyed and lost in the world of illusion— of course with ifs and buts added to it.
But, what is saddening and disappointing is that we are allured by such entertainment quite too often. We fail to rise above the level of being mere spectators. Though Nietzsche sounded quite Machiavellian when he introduced his ‘Ubermensch’ (Super Human), he unintentionally made one point clear; “Human beings can transform the world and themselves if they go beyond themselves”. Nevertheless, most of us are contented with being onlookers of the game, never wanting to go beyond the gallery.
We trudge along with the crowd to watch a show and elbow our way out once it is over, to resume our day-to-day activities until it is time for the next show. Entertaining each other, we go on and on…Be also a doer, not a mere viewer alone!

Dear dad,
I am sorry. I didn’t want to tell you but I must tell you now that I had laid my hands on a treasure for which the police have caught me. I have buried the stolen loot in our field. Please do not dig the land this year. Let me come back and we shall see.
Your son.
The old man was heart-broken. The next morning a down cops swooped down on his field and began digging up the land, only to find nothing. The old man was surprised and confused too.
Two days later another letter came:
Dear Dad,
Go ahead and plant the potatoes. The filed must be dug up by now. This is all what I could do from here.
Ever your son.
Relationships work like spices. They add flavor and aroma. But, they often bring tears to the eyes, too. When two people interact and form a relationship, it is not just two plain beings coming together and forming a bond, but two different, complicated bundles of varying moods, attitudes and temperaments coming together.
When relationships go sour, remind yourself that life is shot – can’t afford to nurse grudges and nurture differences.
